Description:

The Mark VII is one of the most common support weapons in the Empire. There are actually 8 sub-models of the cannon with each of the 4 primary energy types (Electricity/Fire/Cold/Sonic) represented in both Semi-Auto and Full-Auto variations. The Mark VII isn’t produced as a short range or rotary barrel cannon.

The mark VII is common as a vehicle weapon on fortifications, Mech, Transports, APCs, and as a heavy weapon carried by special units in a power armor squad.

Bio:

All models have perpetual power with an energy pack backup in case of anti-magic. A models are semiautomatic, B models are fully automatic. Type 1 is Electricity, Type 2 is Fire, Type 3 is cold, and Type 4 is sonic.

Urban myth suggests the color of the cannon/unit designates the energy type used with red or orange being laser, yellow or violet being blaster, blue or white being frost beams, and green or black being sonic. Most Imperial units are gray, but colorful patches or even schemes are allowed in various fields for certain units and commands for quick distinction by sight which has nothing to do with which energy types their weapons are. Those concerned with damage types might note 40% of imperial weapons are blaster/electric, 40% are laser/fire, and only 10% each are frost/cold and sound/sonic damage types.
